Urban Revolution Launches this Friday

GM Active and Urban Attack are holding a media and public taster day to unveil their new race series called Urban Revolution, this Friday at Salford Quays, Manchester.

The event will showcase a selection of the 30 obstacles that are planned for the main event at Haigh Country Park, Wigan in a couple of months’ time.

Led by ex-SAS celebrity TV Trainer and presenter of ITV’s Biggest Loser, Rob Edmond, the event is sure to be a great afternoon. He’ll be on hand to give hints and tips to help you overcome the obstacles and get ready for future main event races.

Rob announced “Everyone is welcome, we want people of all fitness levels and abilities to come down on Friday, get involved and have fun.”

He added, “We have some great challenges in store, ranging from wading through water, through to climbing over hurdles and walls. It’s going to be challenging but enjoyable. We’re also looking to unveil our latest obstacle, ‘TAKE OFF’, a giant slide that will catapult individuals into the air, before they land in the Salford Quays docks.”

Following the recent partnership, between GM Active and Urban Attack, the event is the first taster day that will lead to a series of obstacle course races, over 5 and 10Km, planned later in the year and in 2018.

Sarah Broad, Strategic Partnership and Service Development Manager at GM Active explained, “We want people to support our taster day, have fun and give us some feedback on the types of obstacles we have planned. Its open to all ages, you just have to register before you attend.”

The event is going to be held at the Helly Hansen Watersports Centre, Salford Quays, M50 3SQ on the 15th September starting at 12pm.
