We can help you begin your journey as a swimming teacher and support you every step of the way as you progress to the level you want. While being an active and challenging role, becoming a swimming teacher is also hugely rewarding. You’ll have great opportunities for employment. Yes, you’ll need your qualifications, but thanks to our expertise and experience, gaining these is also fun and fulfilling.

Let’s get you qualified – we’ll cover the cost of your Level One Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification with Swim England.

What the Swimming Teacher Role Involves:

  • Delivering structured lessons for all levels of swimmers
  • Teaching children, adults, and school groups
  • Supporting swimmers to achieve their goals and awarding achievements
  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
  • Managing your own lesson plans and swimmer progress records

All We Ask…

  • You must be age 16 or over
  • You must be able to swim confidently
  • Successful candidates will be asked to volunteer as part of the qualification process
  • After qualifying, a commitment is required– if you choose to leave within 2 years, you’ll be asked to repay a percentage of the course cost

eLearning:

  • Friday 5th September 2025 – available from 12:00am
  • Wednesday 10th September 2025 – available from 12:00am

Webinar:

  • Friday 5th September 2025 – 6:30pm to 7:30pm

In-person training at move Urmston, Bowfell Road, Urmston, Manchester, M41 5RR

  • Saturday 13th September 2025 – 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • Saturday 20th September 2025 – 8:00am to 4:00pm
